This month, we are delighted to share the successful launch of our brand new Adult Day Care Centre which is an exciting step forward in how we support older people and families across our community.
At Radfield Home Care Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern, our mission is to help people age well, stay independent, and remain connected to the communities they love, and this new service brings that vision to life in a meaningful way.

We recently celebrated with a Launch Open Morning, welcoming families, professionals and members of the community to explore the centre.
We were honoured to be joined by the Mayor of Worcester, Cllr Dr Matt Lamb, and it was wonderful to see people connecting over activities, conversation, and plenty of tea, coffee and cake.
Our day care centre has been created to offer older adults meaningful, social days in a warm and supportive environment
Each session includes tailored activities, opportunities for connection, a freshly prepared two-course lunch, and the reassurance of qualified Care Professionals on site.
Everything is designed to support independence, confidence and wellbeing, while allowing people to continue living at home.
Day care also provides valuable, reliable respite for families and carers, helping to reduce pressure and support sustainable care at home.
Research from Campaign to End Loneliness highlights that over 1.4 million older people in England experience frequent loneliness, reinforcing the importance of services that promote social connection and
routine.

“Our Adult Day Care Centre has been created to offer more than just support, it’s about giving people a place to feel connected, valued and confident. Seeing the space come to life and knowing the difference it will make to both individuals and families is incredibly rewarding”
Our Adult Day Care Centre in Worcester now runs every Tuesday from 9:30am to 2:30pm at The Sergeants’ Mess, with limited spaces available to maintain a calm and personalised experience.

We are proud to be working in partnership with Worcestershire Cricket Foundation to support inclusive sports sessions for people living with Parkinson’s.
These sessions offer a range of engaging seated sports, including hockey, football, archery, boccia and curling that are all adapted to be accessible, safe and enjoyable.
They provide a great opportunity for participants to stay active, build confidence and try something new in a supportive environment.
Alongside the activities, we run our wellbeing cafés, offering a chance to refresh, connect and share over a hot drink.

These moments are just as important as the sport itself, helping to build friendships, encourage conversation and reduce isolation.
By combining physical activity with social connection, these sessions support both physical and emotional wellbeing, creating a welcoming space for everyone involved.
These sessions are free to attend, and we encourage anyone living with Parkinson’s, along with their families and carers, to come along and get involved.

This month, we had the pleasure of delivering an Irishthemed quiz at Worcester Warriors ACFE, bringing together members for an afternoon full of fun, laughter and friendly competition.
From recognising famous Irish songs to testing knowledge of landmarks and celebrations, the room was filled with enthusiasm and great team spirit.
Activities like this are about more than just entertainment, they provide valuable opportunities for social interaction, mental stimulation and connection.
We are proud to support sessions like these within our community, helping to create meaningful experiences that bring people together and promote wellbeing.
“We are proud to work alongside wonderful community partners like Worcester Warriors, who create such a warm and welcoming space for people living with memory illnesses and their families ”

We were delighted to present our Easter raffle prize this week, delivering a hamper full of seasonal treats to our lucky winner, Tanya from Age UK Wyvern. It was lovely to hand over the prize in person and see how pleased she was with her winnings.
Our Easter raffle was a great success, bringing together colleagues, clients, and members of the local community in support of a fantastic cause.
Thanks to everyone who purchased tickets and got involved, we raised a total of £88 for Parkinson’s UK. Parkinson’s UK provides vital support, advice, and research funding for those living with Parkinson’s and their families, and we are proud to contribute, even in a small way, to their important work.
Thank you again to everyone who took part and helped make this fundraiser a success.

March has been a fantastic month for celebrations at Radfield, as we marked the birthdays of Maddy, Richard, Karl and Jess.
It’s always a great opportunity to recognise the individuals who make such a difference across our team.
Maddy continues to bring enthusiasm and creativity to her role in the community, helping us build meaningful local connections.
Karl’s experience and leadership as Field Care Supervisor provide vital support to both clients and colleagues, helping everything run smoothly day to day.

Jess brings warmth and compassion to her role, making a positive impact on the lives of the clients she cares for.
Richard is a valued and dependable member of the team, known for his thoughtful approach and the care he shows to those he supports.
With four birthdays in one month, there’s certainly been no shortage of cake and a perfect excuse to celebrate!
We hope you all had wonderful birthdays.

On Saturday the 11th of April we are attending Adult Front Door’s Living Well Event at the Hive. We will be there to answer any questions, and we will be delivering a short talk on care choices in our local community. We look forward to seeing you there!
The 11 of April is world Parkinson’s Day. At Radfield Home Care, we understand and support individuals who have had to adapt to a Parkinson’s diagnosis. Do something special, or if you can, donate to Parkinson’s UK to support further research and support for those suffering with Parkinson’s.

Make it part of your routine: Try to build a little outdoor time into your day, even if it’s just a few minutes. If you need support getting out and about, our team is always here to help.
