Radfield Home Care Unveils the Tree of Care at Worcester Cathedral

This festive season, Worcester Cathedral once again welcomes visitors to its stunning Christmas Tree Festival, where the cloisters are filled with beautifully decorated trees from local charities, schools, community groups and businesses. Among these, our Tree of Care from Radfield Home Care Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern stands proudly, celebrating the meaningful connections between our Care Professionals and the people they support.

A Tree That Reflects Our Values

The Tree of Care is more than a seasonal display; it represents our commitment to care that is personal, compassionate, and respectful. Each decoration on the tree has been carefully created by our team and clients, turning every bauble into a story, memory, or message of appreciation. These decorations highlight the human connections that are central to our work, showing how care can enhance wellbeing, independence, and happiness.

Voices from Our Community

Many of the baubles feature reflections from our Care Professionals, sharing why they chose this profession and the moments that inspire them. Other decorations carry heartfelt messages from clients and their families, recognising the kindness, humour, and dedication of our team. Quotes include:

“They care about my wellbeing just as much as they help practically” – Margaret W, Client
“The carers treat my sister with respect, dignity and as an individual” – Margaret F, Family of Client
“I love to listen to my clients’ stories. I’ve learnt a lot about life from my clients” – Alex, Care Professional
“My clients are my happy place” – Jane, Care Professional
“I enjoy making a difference in someone’s day, even in small ways” – Karukai, Care Professional
“My carers always cheer me up in the morning” – Chris, Client

These words together illustrate the impact of home care in Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern, and the deep trust and connection our Care Professionals build with those they support.

Celebrating Care at Worcester Cathedral

To capture the spirit of our Tree of Care, we wrote a poem for this year’s festival:

“On every branch a story
A tree dressed in gratitude and cheer,
With quotes from carers and the people
Who make their purpose clear.
So stop a moment, wander close,
And read each shining view;
Our baubles hold the heart of care,
And we’re proud to share them with you.”

The Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival runs from 4 December to 6 January, with visiting hours from 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, 12.30 to 3pm on Sundays, and 9am to 12pm on Christmas Eve. No booking is required.

We invite all visitors to pause by our Tree of Care, read the messages on the baubles, and reflect on the difference that compassionate, personalised home care can make. Our Care Professionals are dedicated to helping people remain connected to what matters most, and the Tree of Care is a celebration of that mission.
