Life Stories: Deepening Person-Centred Care

At Radfield Home Care Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern, we are pleased to be incorporating Life Stories into our client assessments and ongoing support. This NHS-supported initiative helps people record important memories and experiences, supporting emotional wellbeing and more personalised care. We were delighted to welcome Tanya from Age UK Wyvern to our offices to introduce the resource to our team. Age UK Wyvern supports older people across Worcestershire and Herefordshire with information, advice, wellbeing services, and opportunities to stay connected.

By understanding a person’s life story, our Care Professionals are better able to build trust, communicate meaningfully, and tailor care around what truly matters to each individual.
Embedding Life Stories into our assessments will continue to raise the standard of person-centred care: delivering support that is meaningful, inclusive, and tailored to every individual.

Celebrating The Festive Season Together

Radfield Home Care Worcester celebrating the season with a Christmas meals

This Christmas season, we’ve been delighted to share some very special festive meals with both our clients and our team across Worcester, Droitwich and Malvern.
For many of the people we support, Christmas is about comfort, familiarity and connection. Sitting down to enjoy a festive meal together is a simple but meaningful way to celebrate the season, share stories, and create moments of joy. It was wonderful to see so many smiles, conversations and festive cheer around the table.
We were also pleased to host a Christmas meal for our incredible team. It was a chance to pause during a busy time of year, say thank you, and celebrate the dedication, compassion and hard work
shown every day to our clients. Our team truly are the heart of what we do, and it felt important to come together and celebrate them.
At Radfield Home Care, we believe care is about more than tasks, it’s about relationships, warmth and feeling valued. These Christmas meals were a lovely reminder of the community we’ve built
together, and the care and kindness that runs through everything we do.

We’d like to thank everyone who joined us and helped make these moments so special.

Sharing a festive meal together reminds us that care is as much about belonging as it is about support. These Christmas meals were a simple but powerful reminder that care is built on relationships, warmth and feeling truly valued.

This Christmas, Radfield Home Care Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern is proud to be part of the Worcester Cathedral Christmas Tree Festival with our Tree of Care.
The tree is decorated with personalised baubles featuring quotes from our care professionals and clients, sharing why visiting care is such a meaningful and fulfilling role, and what our clients value most about their carers. Together, these messages celebrate the difference compassionate care makes every day.

The festival runs from 4 December to 6 January, with visiting hours:

  • 10 am – 5 pm Monday to Saturday
  • 12.30 pm – 3 pm on Sundays
  • 9 am – 12 pm Christmas Eve

No booking is required.

At the heart of care are people, and the connections that make every day brighter.

Happy Birthday Charlotte!

This month, we were delighted to celebrate the birthday of our Care Professional, Charlotte. Charlotte is known for her kind, compassionate approach. Her thoughtful and reliable nature makes a
real difference to both our clients and the wider team, and we’re very grateful to have her with us. We hope you had a lovely birthday, Charlotte!

Reflecting on 2025, Looking Ahead to 2026

As 2025 comes to an end, we would like to thank our wonderful care professionals, clients and families across Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern for being part of another meaningful year at Radfield Home Care.
This year has been shaped by compassion, trust and strong community connections, helping people live well and with dignity in their own homes. As we look ahead to 2026, we remain committed to supporting our team and continuing to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

We wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a happy, healthy New Year.

December Health & Wellness Tip: Hydration in Winter

As December arrives and the weather becomes colder, many older adults may drink less without realising it. Feeling less thirsty in winter can make it easy to forget the importance of staying hydrated.
Good hydration supports circulation, digestion, joint comfort and concentration, and can also help reduce the risk of headaches, dizziness and urinary infections. It plays an important role in maintaining overall strength and well being as we age. Try keeping a drink within easy reach throughout the day and taking small, regular sips. Warm drinks such as tea, coffee, herbal infusions or warm water all count. Even gentle reminders to drink can help support health and comfort throughout the winter months.
