A Successful Friendship Afternoon in Liverpool

Is there a better way to spend an afternoon than being surrounded by live music, some fantastic company, and topping it off with a delicious slice of cake?

On Monday, 20th July, our team at Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton proudly teamed up with Marine in the Community to host a Friendship Afternoon in Liverpool, bringing local residents together for an afternoon of music and connection.

Live music, sweet treats, and local friendship

As part of our commitment to creating engaging social activities for older people in Liverpool, the afternoon was all about celebrating wellbeing and the joy of staying connected.

Guests were treated to an uplifting live performance from the talented Andrew Alty, who kept the room buzzing, singing along, and even showing off a few dance moves! To make the afternoon even sweeter, the lovely team at Mr Thompson Bakery generously supplied a mouth-watering spread of cakes, which went down an absolute treat with everyone in attendance.

Raising vital funds for future community friendship events across Liverpool

Alongside the music and tea, guests took part in a fundraising raffle that raised £70. Every single penny raised will be reinvested directly back into organising future community friendship events across Liverpool and Ormskirk locals can enjoy.

Dave Bellis, Director of Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton shared what the afternoon meant to the team:

“Events like these are at the absolute heart of what we do. They bring people together, help in reducing loneliness, and create lasting friendships within our community. We are incredibly grateful to Marine in the Community, Andrew Alty, Mr Thompson Bakery, and everyone who came along to support us. The £70 raised through our raffle will go directly towards future community activities that continue to make a positive difference.”
