Radfield Home Care Ormskirk is proud to be at the heart of the local community, and we are delighted to announce the launch of our new initiative Time for a Cuppa.
The very first gathering took place on Friday 12th September at Costa Coffee in the Hattersley Centre, Ormskirk. Local residents came together in a warm and welcoming space to socialise, make new friends, and learn more about Radfield’s personalised home care services in Ormskirk.
The Costa Coffee team, led by their manager, created the perfect atmosphere for the event, and feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. Many shared how much they valued having a regular, inclusive space to connect with others.
Time for a Cuppa will now run every third Friday of the month, offering refreshments, conversation, and companionship in Ormskirk in a relaxed café setting.
We know that loneliness and isolation can affect many people in later life, particularly as the seasons change. Having a regular opportunity to come together helps to build friendships, create shared experiences, and give people something positive to look forward to.
At Radfield Home Care, our mission is to help people stay connected to the things that matter most. Part of this means supporting not only our clients but also the wider community. By creating welcoming events such as Time for a Cuppa, we aim to bring people together, encourage meaningful connections, and strengthen community spirit.
Since the first event, interest has grown quickly, with many local people reaching out on Facebook to find out more and join in.

“It’s lovely to have community initiatives that are meaningful to our clients, retirement and independent living establishments, care homes, and people living at home. It enriches lifestyles that everyone deserves to enjoy and look forward to, especially as we head into the darker nights of autumn and winter. Events like this really help to reduce loneliness and isolation within the community.” – Lesley Malone, Community Engagement Lead
At Radfield Home Care Ormskirk, we believe in supporting not just our clients but the wider community too. This event is open to everyone, whether you want to make new connections, enjoy a friendly chat over coffee, or simply discover more about our home care in Ormskirk.
The next Time for a Cuppa will take place on Friday 17th October, 10am to 12pm at Costa Coffee, Hattersley Centre, Ormskirk. We look forward to welcoming you.
