Recently, our Community Engagement Lead, Kate Button, had the pleasure of joining Dementia Forward at their joyful daytime dementia disco. This uplifting community event brought people together while raising vital funds to improve dementia care in Ripon, Harrogate, and surrounding parts of North Yorkshire.
Held in a vibrant, welcoming venue, the disco featured classic hits, colourful lights and a wonderful atmosphere. Kate danced alongside individuals living with dementia, their carers, family members and supporters. The event was a powerful reminder of how music, movement and shared joy can enhance quality of life and emotional wellbeing for people with dementia.
