Radfield Home Care Worcester, Droitwich & Malvern was pleased to attend the recent Living Well event at The Hive Library, bringing together local services, charities, and community members.
It was wonderful to meet people from across the community, offering support and guidance on care options, as well as connecting with other local providers and council services supporting ageing well in Worcester.
We shared information about our visiting care, live-in care, and adult day care centre, all designed to support individuals to live safely and comfortably at home.
We also delivered a free 30-minute presentation with Q&A on understanding care choices. This neutral session helped attendees learn how to access care, understand different levels of support, and choose the right provider.
This reflects our ethos at Radfield Home Care empowering people with knowledge to make informed decisions about their care.

This April, we enjoyed a wonderful Easter themed session at our Adult Day Care Centre, bringing together creativity, connection and meaningful support.
The day was filled with a variety of engaging activities, starting with Easter bonnet making, where everyone had the chance to get creative and add their own personal touch. We also spent time making bird feeders, encouraging a connection with nature, and baking delicious nest egg cakes, which were enjoyed later in the day.
A highlight for many was the Easter egg hunt, which brought a real sense of fun and laughter to the session, alongside opportunities to socialise and share the experience together.

As always, the day included a freshly prepared lunch, as well as plenty of tea, coffee and conversation, creating a warm, relaxed environment where people could feel comfortable and connected.
At Radfield Home Care, our Adult Day Care Centre is designed to offer meaningful, enjoyable days that support independence, confidence and wellbeing. Sessions like these highlight the importance of social interaction, creativity and routine in helping people to age well within their community.
If you or a loved one would enjoy being part of days like this, we would love to welcome you: please get in touch to find out more or book a place.
“We look forward to many more themed sessions in the months ahead, continuing to create a space where people can come together, try new things, and enjoy their day.”

April has been another busy and rewarding month for our Community Engagement Officer, Maddy, as we continue to strengthen our links across the local community.
Maddy delivered a fun and engaging timeline quiz at the Worcester Warriors Foundation Dementia Café, bringing people together for a morning of conversation and reminiscence. She also hosted a lively 60s–70s music bingo session at the Connexions Dementia Café, which was filled with singing and smiles.
Continuing her regular involvement, Maddy attended a special afternoon tea with the Mayor of Droitwich at the Droitwich Parkinson’s Friendship Group, which she supports monthly. Alongside this, we have remained committed to supporting the Parkinson’s seated multi sport sessions, where Maddy runs the wellbeing café sponsored by Radfield Home Care.
These activities reflect our ongoing commitment to building connections, supporting wellbeing, and being an active part of our community.
“Being part of these groups is always a highlight. It’s about creatingmoments of connection, bringing people together, and making sure everyone feels supported and included.”

In April, we were delighted to celebrate a special milestone for both Charlotte and Shannon, who each marked 2 years with Radfield.
Over the past two years, they have both made a meaningful contribution to the team, supporting clients with care, compassion and dedication. Their hard work and positive approach are truly valued by colleagues and clients alike.
Thank you, Charlotte and Shannon, for everything you do.

May is shaping up to be a busy and exciting month at Radfield, with plenty happening across the team.
Throughout the month, we’re pleased to be offering free taster sessions at our Day Centre, a great opportunity for people to come along, meet the team, take part in activities and get a real feel for the warm, welcoming environment we provide. If you or someone you know might be interested, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re also cheering on Karl and Clare, who are taking on the incredible challenge of walking 100 miles in May to raise money for Parkinson’s UK. If you’d like to support them, please speak to a member of the team to find out how to donate.
In addition, Mental Health Awareness Week begins on the 11th May, and our team will be putting something together to recognise and support this important initiative. Keep an eye out for updates, it’s set to be a great month!
As the weather begins to warm up, it’s especially important to stay well hydrated. As we get older, we may not always feel thirsty, even when our body needs fluids, so it’s a good idea to drink little and often throughout the day.
Aim to include a variety of drinks such as water, tea, milk or diluted juice, and try to keep a drink nearby as a reminder. Foods with high water content, like fruit, yoghurt and soups, can also help boost hydration.
Staying hydrated can support energy levels, concentration and overall health, so making it part of your daily routine can make a real difference.
