Welcome our new community partner – Physio on The Farm

We are delighted to announce our new community partner, Physio on the Farm. This collaboration combines our home care expertise with HCPC-registered physiotherapist, all within the unique and therapeutic setting of a working care farm

Physio on The Farm offers tailored strength, balance, mobility, and wellbeing sessions designed specifically for older adults. Set amongst the beautiful surroundings of Abberley Care Farm, participants can benefit from evidence-based physiotherapy principles while enjoying the many physical and emotional benefits that spending time in nature can provide.

Tailored health and mobility sessions

The sessions are designed to help older adults improve their strength, confidence, mobility, and independence. Activities may also incorporate interaction with the farm’s animals and environment, creating meaningful opportunities for movement, social connection, and emotional wellbeing.

As part of our partnership, we will be working closely with the Physio on The Farm team to develop a programme of regular, accessible group sessions focused on common health conditions affecting older people. These will include topics such as :

• Dementia
• Parkinson’s disease
• Diabetes
• Falls prevention
• Maintaining strength and mobility as we age.

We hope to create engaging sessions that provide practical advice, targeted exercise, education, and opportunities for peer support. Together,
we aim to help people better manage their health, maintain independence, and continue enjoying the activities that matter most to them.

Addressing social isolation through partnership

The partnership also strengthens our shared commitment to tackling loneliness and social isolation. Abberley Care Farm’s welcoming environment and thriving community provide a wonderful opportunity for older people to meet others, build confidence, and enjoy meaningful experiences in a supportive setting.

We are incredibly excited about the opportunities this partnership will bring and look forward to working together to support the health, wellbeing, and independence of older people across Worcester, Droitwich, Malvern, and the surrounding areas.
