Radfield Home Care Tarporley & Mid Cheshire is delighted to announce the launch of ‘Reggie the Radfield Teddy; The Bear That Cares’, a heartwarming campaign designed to introduce our supportive and high-quality home care to the village of Tarporley, while raising vital funds to tackle social isolation among older people.
Reggie the Radfield Teddy is more than a cuddly mascot; he is a symbol of our commitment to helping older people age well by staying connected to the people and things that matter most. Reggie’s adventure across Tarporley encourages in-person connections, brings smiles, and shines a light on the wonderful businesses and residents who make this village a home. Every hug shared with Reggie helps reinforce the message that everyone deserves to feel valued and included.
We are proud to partner with OPAL (Older People Active Lives) Tarporley, a phenomenal local charity dedicated to offering social inclusion for those who may be housebound or lonely. The raffle for Reggie, with tickets priced at £5, aims to raise £750. This target will help OPAL fund activities and events, provide hot meals, and offer transport to allow local people to enjoy meaningful companionship.
“We are extremely grateful to Radfield Home Care Tarporley & Mid Cheshire for choosing to donate any funds raised from their raffle to OPAL’s Activity Club in Tarporley. It will help to pay for activities and events that enrich the lives of our members, whilst having fun at the same time.”
– Geoff Hope-Terry, Chair, OPAL Services

The launch of Reggie’s campaign on Monday, 24th November marks the beginning of our deeper commitment to the Tarporley community. We invite everyone to find Reggie, share a hug, and buy a raffle ticket – together we can make a real difference to people experiencing isolation in Mid Cheshire.
The winner will receive Reggie the Radfield Teddy in time for Christmas, and the draw will take place live on Facebook on Friday 19 December at 3.30pm.
