To support local community connections and help reduce social isolation, Radfield Home Care Liverpool North & Sefton recently assisted residents from The Fountains Independent Retirement Living on a day trip to the seaside town of Llandudno.
The day was organised in partnership with Charlton Mini Coaches, a local transport provider that helped ensure the journey was both comfortable and accessible for all attendees. The day offered residents an opportunity to enjoy companionship, fresh sea air, and a change of scenery. Group outings of this nature are a practical way to help older adults maintain their independence, build relationships, and stay active within their local area.
We regularly support social activities, including community meals, local gatherings, and organised outings, to help older people retain a sense of purpose and connection. A member of our Community Engagement Team had this to say about the day out:
“It’s so lovely to organise these enriched lives community events and trips. We all have family members who have enjoyed special days out like Llandudno, and we’re proud to have such fantastic community connections that help support local people. Seeing people come together, share experiences, and make lasting memories is incredibly rewarding.”

The Llandudno trip is just one example of how Radfield Home Care continues to go the extra mile in supporting older people to remain active, connected, and engaged in their local communities.
With many more seaside coach trips planned throughout the summer, we look forward to creating even more opportunities for local people to enjoy new experiences, strengthen friendships, and continue living life to the fullest.
