For many, a career in social care is a choice made in a classroom or an office. For me, it was a calling that began at home.
Growing up alongside my younger sister, who was diagnosed with autism and epilepsy at a young age, I saw firsthand the profound impact that dedicated, compassionate support can have on a family. It didn’t just provide safety; it provided hope, dignity, and the opportunity for her to thrive. That lived experience became the compass for my career, instilling in me an empathy that you simply cannot teach.
My professional journey began on the front lines as a Support Worker. I loved the immediate joy of helping individuals gain independence, achieve their goals and reconnect with their communities. Over the last decade, that passion has seen me progress through roles as a Senior Support Worker and Team Leader, eventually leading to a Registered Manager position for Residential Services catering to individuals with complex health, mobility and communication needs, and learning disabilities.
Along the way, I discovered a deep-seated interest in dementia care. People often ask why I chose to join Radfield Home Care Bexley, Dartford & Sidcup as the Registered Care Manager. The answer is simple: our values are perfectly aligned. From the very first interview it was evident that myself and Managing Director, Pav Gill shared the same vision, passion and dedication to supporting the local community and provide high quality services and information which community members can benefit from.
Our “Be There” philosophy isn’t just a marketing slogan; it’s a commitment to treating clients and staff like a trusted family. In an industry that can sometimes feel transactional, at Radfield, we prioritise the human connection.
I joined this team because I wanted to bring my experience back into the heart of the community. In, my mission is to ensure that the we provide is the same standard I would expect for my own sister or parents.
As I step into this role, my focus is on more than just “providing a service.” I am here to:
