Radfield Home Care Epsom & Leatherhead – August Newsletter

Dementia Awareness

Radfield Home Care Epsom & Leatherhead are launching a new series of short posts this month on social media, to raise awareness and understanding of dementia. Each post will highlight key facts, early signs, and practical ways to offer support, including how symptoms can vary, how dementia affects more than just memory, and why personalised care makes such a difference. Look out for insights on topics like younger-onset dementia, the emotional impact on families, and how even small changes at home can help. Follow along on our social media pages and if you’re caring for someone with dementia, we’re always here to help.

Planning for the Future

We know it’s not easy to talk about the future, but making plans early can ease stress for everyone. Setting up a Power of Attorney means someone you trust can make decisions on your behalf if needed. Wills and Advance Care Plans help ensure your wishes are know, respected and followed. If you’re unsure where to start, we’re always happy to listen and point you towards local, trusted resources.

Enjoying the Summer

This month we’ve been busy enjoying the summer, from exploring the vines at Denbies and long drives through the beautiful Surrey countryside to peaceful pondside walks and coffee outings. We’ve delivered flowers to brighten days, featured in the local paper, and
even helped organise a bathroom refurbishment to support independent living at home!
