Winter wellness support from your local home care team in Epsom & Leatherhead

Even in the colder months, staying hydrated and nourished is important. Warm, comforting meals like vegetable soups or hearty stews are a simple way to get both fluids and nutrients, while also warming you from the inside out. Pair this with gentle indoor movement or a short walk to keep your body active and your spirits lifted. Taking small, everyday steps to look after yourself, from enjoying a nourishing meal to wrapping up warm, can make a real difference to your health and wellbeing this winter.

Our Blue Box

Our Whzan Blue Box is a simple, effective tool that helps monitor health at home. We can use this as part of our home care services in Epsom & Leatherhead if you have a health concern or if you just want to keep an eye on your vitals. Recently, we supported a client in the Epsom and Leatherhead area who was able to stay safely at home, while we monitored him with the Blue Box, avoiding a hospital admission.

The Blue Box is just one way Radfield Home Care Epsom & Leatherhead combines technology and personalised care to keep people well, independent and reassured in their own homes.

This month at Radfield Home Care Epsom & Leatherhead

This month we have had a lot of fun. We have played table tennis, completed puzzles and got creative with colouring. We have been out and about too. Trips to Denbies, lunch at the café, cream tea outings and even braving the snowy weather for a winter walk across local areas near Epsom and Leatherhead. Back at home, we have shared flowers, received plants and cards and made the most of snowy days together.

Free NHS hearing clinic:

All NHS hearing aid users welcome. Free servicing, including replacement batteries, tubing and domes by volunteers trained by RSCH audiologists.

• St Martin’s Church, East Horsley KT24 6RL
• 10am to 12pm on the 2nd Thursday of the month

Remember to bring your hearing aid battery book.

Ladies reading group:

Lunchtime ladies meet on a Tuesday every 6 weeks.
12pm to 1pm at Bookham Library.
This group now has spaces for new members. Please ask in the library or email [email protected].

Connect dementia support:

For people living with dementia and their carers.
Meet fortnightly on Thursdays, 10am to 12pm at St Lawrence Church Hall, Effingham KT24 5LX.
Enjoy tea, cake, chat and activities like pottery, puzzles, exercise, games and regular outings.

CONNECT in Song:

Join for an hour of happy singing on the first Tuesday of each month.
2.30pm to 4pm at Our Lady of Sorrows, Effingham.
