Mental health doesn’t stop mattering as we get older. If anything, it becomes even more important.
Depression in older adults is often missed or mistaken for “just part of getting older”, and it can sometimes show through physical symptoms like tiredness, sleep changes, or loss of appetite rather than low mood. It’s important to remember that depression is not a normal part of ageing and it is treatable. If low or anxious feelings persist and begin to affect day-to-day life, seeking support can make a real difference.
We’re delighted to welcome Kim!
She is an experienced care professional and has quickly shown her friendly, kind and caring nature. We’re so pleased to have her as part of the team.

This month we’ve been busy with a mix of activities, including playing the piano, celebrating Easter, helping with tasks such as taking up trousers, and enjoying mini golf and coffee.
We’ve also been brightening up our training room, making the most of the sunshine, and having fun with an interactive dog!

Be There is at the heart of everything we do.
It’s about the small, thoughtful moments that make a real difference. It’s about helping people stay connected to the things, people, and moments that matter most, and supporting them to live life in a way that feels truly like them.
It’s built on three simple principles:
Be You, Be Connected, Be Inspired.

In our office, Amber a local year 10 student, has brought this to life with our Be There board – a space where we can celebrate these moments and recognise the impact our care professionals have every day. It’s filled with real examples of kindness, connection and going that extra step for the people we support.
We’re also incredibly proud that this approach helped us win an award, recognising the difference our team makes through genuinely person-centred care.
It’s a lovely reminder that being there isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are.
A community fun day, raising funds for local charities. The event includes the traditional Donkey Derby, along with a range of local stalls, live music, refreshments, a dog show and bowls activities. It’s a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon designed for all ages.
